  • Center for Applied Rural Innovation
    Helping to create a rural community and agricultural structure that is economically viable, environmentally sound, socially acceptable and sustainable into the future. CARI combines the efforts of the former Center for Rural Community Revitalization and Development, the Center for Leadership Development and the Center for Sustainable Agricultural Systems.

  • Center for Grassland Studies
    The Center's mission is to implement focused, interdisciplinary research, educational and service programs and activities that emphasize the role of grasslands as a natural resource and conservation measure and that enhance the efficiency, profitability, sustainability, and aesthetic value of grasslands, wetlands and turfs.

  • Collaborative Research Support Programs (CRSPs)
    Collaborative Research Support Programs (CRSPs) focus the capabilities of U.S. land grant universities to carry out the international food and agricultural research mandate of the U.S. Government.


  • Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan
    A Comprehensive Nutrient Management Plan (CNMP) is a plan a livestock producer has for achieving agronomically efficient and environmentally safe manure distribution. It includes fertilizer nutrient management, soil testing, manure testing, and applicator calibration. A CNMP is also an essential component of an application for state livestock waste control facility construction and operating permits, if one is required.

  • Extension Publications
    The University of Nebraska Cooperative Extension Publications catalog offers more than 800 publications on a variety of topics for everyone, from ag producers and small businesses to gardeners and today's active families.

  • High Plains Initiative for Integrated Phenology
    Phenology studies the seasonal timing of different developmental stages and the life cycles of plants and animals. Understanding the processes that impact these developmental stages and forecasting phenological stages are important to growers, food processors, crop insurance and seed companies, the commodities markets, and those who enjoy the aesthetics of plants.

  • International Sorghum and Millet (INTSORMIL)
    The INTSORMIL CRSP is a research organization focused on education, mentoring, and collaboration with host country scientists in developing new technologies to improve sorghum and pearl millet production and utilization worldwide.

  • National Drought Mitigation Center
    The National Drought Mitigation Center (NDMC), based at UNL, helps people and institutions develop and implement measures to reduce societal vulnerability to drought, stressing preparedness and risk management rather than crisis management.

  • Nebraska Agricultural Technologies Association
    NeATA is Nebraska's newest grassroots agricultural-based non-profit associations. The association was founded by innovative Nebraska farmers and agribusiness representatives that share a common desire to stay abreast of emerging agricultural technologies.

  • Nebraska Biomass
    The U.S. Department of Energy wants states to develop a vision for the conversion of biomass feedstocks into power, fuels, and products and outline a roadmap for achieving that vision. The goal of this site is to share information on the development process for the Nebraksa Biomass Roadmap and the final Roadmap and information.

  • Nebraska Crop Improvement Association
    The Nebraska Crop Improvement Association is dedicated to enhancing the economic viability and well-being of the people of Nebraska and the world, through value-added products and processes.


  • Nebraska Sustainable Agriculture Society
    Promotes agriculture & food systems that build healthy land, people, communities & quality of life, for present & future generations. Our diverse membership includes farmers, rural and urban consumers, market gardeners, educators, families & restaurateurs.

  • Pesticide Education Resources, University of Nebraska
    The Pesticide Education Office provides educational and training programs that address health, the environment and pesticide safety.


  • Plant & Pest Diagnostic Clinic
    The clinic is operated by Nebraska Cooperative Extension and offers skilled and objective diagnostic services by professionals from the Departments of Plant Pathology, Horticulture, Agronomy (Weed Science) and Entomology. In addition to accurate diagnosis of your pest problem, you will be provided with the most current information and recommendations!

  • Professional Golf Management
    The goal of the PGA/PGM Program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln is to produce a graduate who meets the qualifications to be a PGA member and has a basic background in managing golf facilities and related organizations, business and personnel management, restaurant and hospitality management, and recreation.

  • Water Center
    The Water Center operates within the University of Nebraska's Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's (UNL) research and agricultural campus.   • Chat n Chew Café (corn)
    The Chat 'n Chew Café offers timely agronomic information to Indiana agriculturalists. The Café is owned and operated by your friendly neighborhood Extension corn specialist from Purdue University.

    Community of Science, Inc. (COS) is the leading Internet site for the global R&D community. COS brings together the world's most prominent scientists and researchers at more than 1,300 universities, corporations and government agencies worldwide.

  • Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES)
    CSREES provides the focus to advance a global system of research, extension and higher education in the food and agricultural sciences and related environmental and human sciences to benefit people, communities, and the Nation.

  • GrainGenes
    GrainGenes, the Triticeae Genome Database, is a compilation of molecular and phenotypic information about wheat, barley, oats, and other small grains. The project is supported by the USDA Plant Genome Research Program, and by the community of scientists who are providing the information and the reasons to be interested in it.

  • International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center
    CIMMYT and its research partners provide agricultural solutions to the problems of poor people in developing countries.

  • National Corn Growers Association
    A federation of state organizations, corn boards, councils and commissions developing and implementing programs and policies on a state and national level to help protect and advance the corn producer’s interests.

  • National Jointed Goatgrass Project
    Site devoted to biology and control of jointed goatgrass in winter wheat crops.

  • National Pesticide Information Center
    A service that provides objective, science-based information about a wide variety of pesticide-related subjects, including: pesticide products, recognition and management of pesticide poisoning, toxicology, and environmental chemistry.
